Hi Again
It's nice to be able to look at this journal and remember some the things I was doing. Well, Novemeber 8, I turned 20. I kept feeling depressed when I thought about it. I'm okay with 20 now. I finished coloring the characters in a picture/comic that I made. It has mutiple colors, and it makes me think of the 90s. Looking at it, perhaps someone might think one or two of the characters has no sense of color coordination, but I read on wikipedia that the 90s (at least part) had an anti-fashion style, or something, so I guess it would fit. Speaking of 90s I hope to get all three Adventures in Wonderland tapes for Christmas. The March Hare's costume reminds me of that Skip-It commercial, and I guess his costume is the one I associate most with the 90s. I signed a petition last night to rerun AiW/to put it on DVD. I would buy it if I could. | | Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 | | 11:13 am |
More Words from Rebi
So, this is what it's like to be graduated. It's kinda odd, really. For the past 15 years, I've been made to have some form of schooling, but now I don't have to go to school. I don't know what I want to do for a job, and I don't know what college I want to go to. As for college I want to go to a Christian college which doesn't teach the Gap Theory and teaches sign language and animation. My dad mentioned a Christian college which makes professional films, but I want to pursue animation. Still, it's a place to consider. | | Thursday, January 10th, 2008 | | 3:12 pm |
w00t!
I tested out of my previous PACE, and now I'm on the very LAST PACE of my courses. I also did the States and Capitals test on Tuesday, but Mrs. Hider didn't score it. For yesterday Wednesday and today I've been on the pre-quarter break, so I don't know if I did pass it. But if I did, that means I only have to do three more senior requirements! | | Saturday, December 15th, 2007 | | 2:40 pm |
I'm on Christmas break now. Whoo! In other news back around February I had been writing Cyn a story. I find it failed. So, these past few days or so I was working of tweaking and revising. It was based on a picture Cyn put up on her deviantArt; I think it was called "Overlooking Oblivion", and Cyn made the comment that Miz and Cyn might be looking at pop-art in a museum. And that is what they do in the story. I have to find out how it ends. I combined chapter one and two, and so the new chapter two would involve them solving the conflict. There is references to old fics, like when Miz and Dib met, Miz's Christmas party, and Miz's New Year's party (which is one my favorite fics that Cyn wrote). If we actually did make a timeline of everything, it would probably be somewhere between New Year's and Valetine's (i.e., Laura's fic). In the tweaking and revision I added some more Dib/Cyn-ness, added a better beginning, and mixed in a little LA/Cyn/Miz rivalry. | | Saturday, December 8th, 2007 | | 8:32 am |
This has been a good week for me. Ever since summer when Pete bought the tickets for Young Frankenstein the musical, Laura and he were the only ones scheduled to go to New York. However, I go into the bathroom, and I think I just finished my daily cleansing rituals and was about to go out, when Mom is at the door telling me that I don't have to put my uniform on. Why? Because she, Luke, and I get to go to New York with them. So, we load up. I wear my pajama top for insulation, a long-sleeved shirt, and my new green penguin sweatshirt, and I'm bringing my letterman jacket for once we get to New York. (It was cold! And this was before it snowed Wednesday night in Jersey!) I also had my sweat pants and gloves, and I brought my hat, but Laura said I looked silly, so Mom tried wearing it, but her head is smaller than mine. It was blown off her head by the wind. Finally, we get there, and Mom says that the traffic wasn't as bad getting into the Lincoln Tunnel as other times we've gone. I was glad that Luke got to see the "Mutterland". His mother's mother and father came from New York. (Cecilia was Pete's older sister, so she came from the Bronx.) We stuck to Manhattan, but still, it was nice he could see the city that part of his family came from. So, we went to the Museum of Natural History for a while, and we saw the Dinosaurs and that hall-thingy on the first floor with the stuffed (dead) animals. Of course, we had to leave, because we needed to get a parking spot for Pete and Laura to go to the theater. Mom was talking about finding a place for Luke, her, and me to hang out for the two and a half hours that the show would run. Laura was excited, and we were listing off the Broadway musicals we wanted to see. So, anywho, we were looking for the Hilton, I think, when it happened, though we may have already been on the right track and looking for a parking spot. However, it happened! Mom turned to me and said that I would get Pete's ticket! I got to see my very first Broadway show at the Hilton Theatre! Young Frankenstein! The special effects were amazing! At the beginning they had the singers with umbrellas, and they made it look like it was raining with the light. And that's just one example! Laura said they spent a lot on the special effects alone. And she was excited to Megan playing Elizabeth. After Megan's first scene (where she's saying good-bye to Frankenstein), Laura said she thought she was going to have a heart attack. Laura also got to meet up with her Internet friends during the intermission. One of her friends was from Paris, and Laura said she came all the way from France to see the show. (I think she met Agatha on a Megan fansite.) At one point during the show, I grabbed Laura's hand to calm her down or jokingly to calm her down, but then I feel her top teeth press down into my finger. I can't remember if it actually hurt, but there's no mark. Laura was biting herself, and my hand got in the way. I like "Transylvania Mania" and "Together Again for the First Time", both of which had Igor as the lead singer, though that's a coincidence. I do love Igor, y'know, but I don't think that's why I like those two songs. The show was funny, though Laura says they left out some of the jokes she seen when she saw it online. After the show Laura spent the $20 Pete had given her as mad money on this souvenir booklet. She didn't get to meet Megan after the show, but God will bless her for obeying Mom. Anywho, Wednesday rolls around, and it begins snowing. Wednesday was a half-day, so that made me happy. Mrs. Moore, the principal, phoned that night to say that Thursday would be a snow day, so that also made me happy. Thursday came, and Luke's family came over. Rachel and I read my copy of The Nutcracker (by Hoffman, not those books based on the ballet). She likes Barbie, and she had seen the Barbie version of The Nutcracker when her sister Skylar was a baby, but after reading three chapters, she said she liked the story better than the Barbie one. That made me happy. We finished Chapter Five around the time her family were preparing to leave (that's where Marie throws her show at the Mouse King, and she faints). Friday, we finished filming for the Christmas skit! This makes me very happy. Tepper made fudge, and we were sharing her iPod, since her speakers were upstairs. It didn't come out pretty because we mixed the red-striped white chocolate chips with the green-striped white chocolate chips, but she used it to make Prada sunglasses for the gingerbread Santa (formerly a ginger-snowman) and elf. It also made boots for the Santa. Yesterday, you see, Mom and Tep went to the grocery store, and they bought a gingerbread house kit. So, this week has been good for me. | | Wednesday, November 21st, 2007 | | 11:03 am |

I deleted Furry_Anthro_Pirates recently. Ah, well. Anywho, I have a five-day weekend. We have a poet friend coming in, and I have to fix my room so that he could stay in there. I'm moving into Luke's room for the visit. (Luke is two, by-the-by.) Tomorrow, we're going to Roberta Heck's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Roberta Heck is a Christian poet, and she's published her own poetry books. Friday I'll have to do some Christmas shopping. I want to buy Laura some Chick Tracts, so that can wait until another day, but I also have to shop for Amy. This year we siblings have two people to shop for, though I don't know if Cliff is expected to buy for two. I hope God will direct me to a good gift for Amy. Saturday my cousins Laurie and Steph and their kids are coming over for a late Thanksgiving dinner. I don't know if Danny and his family are coming. I may make sure that all of Luke's toys with wheels are put on the second floor. None of the visiting younger cousins are allowed on the second floor without permission, so it is a safe place. I probably won't have to play with Chris and Kira since I think those two like to play together more (though I could be wrong). Anywho, it may be fun on Thursday. | | Monday, November 19th, 2007 | | 4:17 pm |
It has been a long time since I posted anything to my livejournal, eh? Well, I went to Miami again over the summer, and Laura, Dad, Mrs. Wilson, and I went to the Southwest Believer's Convention. It was on our last day, I think, that I was walking up the flight of stairs to get to the second level (before making the climb to my seat) that a lady gave me a devotional book for married people. I'm not engaged, you know, but I guess God lead her to give it to me. While we were in Texas, my dad bought me a 4-disc set of "Commander Kellie and the Superkids" DVD's, and some of the books (though he helped me complete the collection because not all were there). I've finished my science course, and I only have the rest of my math PACE's and the rest of the senior requirements to do (not to mention what I am supposed to do in Spanish). I've made honor roll for the first quarter. As for Spanish we are using the Rosetta Stone program, and I believe I'm retaining more in these few weeks (or how long it has been) than all the years I've spent in public school. The Miz project is not being worked on right now. There's still some remodeling to be done, but I can wait until the time comes to work on Miz and her new world again. However, I am glad that Miz does not look so manga-ish right now. We also got our school ID's today. I'm glad I look better than last year. I also had my birthday on Nov. 8. *victory music* | | Sunday, June 3rd, 2007 | | 5:05 pm |

In Case You're Wondering...
Since I have so much work to do, I am not allowed to do much Internet things for a while. If I don't complete all my PACE work and my senior requirements, I have to repeat the 12th grade. So you can see where I'm coming from. I shall be taking an English test tomorrow, and I recently got my new science PACE. After I test out of my current Social Studies, I have one more before I finish the course. I also turned in my essay for senior requirements, so I'm closer to my goal. Laura's in the church play, "He's Alive". I've heard that for such a small budget, the special effects are great. Laura plays one of the disciples and a few others, but she doesn't want them to be listed. She was telling Mom that she could watch and try to spot her. So we can all sing that ol' game show tune--albeit new words: "Where in the play is Laura Anne [Last Name]?" | | Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 | | 7:47 am |
Dream
Last night I dreamed that briberry and her friends went to the same church that I did, or at least, they hung outside the church. I recognize briberry, and I just say "Hi", but then she says, "You're Rebecca Sib-bert, right?" (Even my dreams no pronounces my name right.) I correct her, and she says, "I don't know how I knew, I just knew" or something like that. Then I saw the Hatter from Disneyland. I tried to get his attention before, but he ignored me. Then we made eye contact; I smiled and he came up, about to play, but I was holding a wig for some reason, and I thought he would hit me (playfully), so I used the wig like a sword and said, "En guarde!" He gave me a funny look and started walking away, but I called out to him. I told him that he had scared me, and then he seemed to like that, so then he started singing a silly song. Eventually, I dreamed that the Hatter from Adventures in Wonderland (played by Hoffman) was helping a boy (I had boy's POV), and I think the Hatter was saying he'd help the boy redo the guest bedroom of our real house (which had a different layout than the bedroom, and it had some curling pattern under the wallpaper). There's nothing sexual about it, even if the guest bedroom is my new room. I was sleeping in my old room last night. There was more concerning the dream, but I will end it there. | | Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 | | 6:38 pm |

I Wonder. I Wonder.
I wonder if it's necessary to post publicly that I have not read a certain comic since a certain episode and do not intend to read anymore. Let us say that something I'm doing is similar to said comic, and I do not want future generations saying, "Oh, look! She's commented on the artist's livejournal and her YouTube videos. Obviously, she liked that sort of genre and/or stole from said artist." You might find that silly, but think of how people today hound people of the past. Lewis Carroll is accused of being a drug user and being romantically attached to Alice Liddel, but there's no proof that he was either. I don't want that to happen to me. I've only read, maybe... less than ten chapters of the comic (each comic being considered a chapter). Right now, I don't know what's going on, except for seeing some pictures that fans used on YouTube. | | Wednesday, February 28th, 2007 | | 3:49 pm |
New News
Today, I turned in my science PACE. I'm homeschooling now, by-the-by, rather like Nyc. Nyc's one and only fanfic was one of attempting to show people how to write (I think I was 14 then). He was a gothling, and his last name was Dark. He ended up committing suicide. Now, he is Nyc Coldstream. He has a younger brother named Gordon, who is actually his half-brother. They live with their mother and uncle, who is a biologist (Dr. Coldstream) in a house like the one my Aunt Nancy lives in. Nyc is an artist who makes online comics and online animated cartoons as well as low-budget games, and he doesn't kill himself. He's also different personality-wise than the way he used to be-- like he doesn't just wear black now, he doesn't rant, or try to blow up the school. Yet, I'll save the rest for later. Yesterday, Pete made his first real estate sale since he went back into that business, and we celebrated at Peking Tokyo. Also, I missed my lessons with Mr. Fransko, which made me sad. I've also been watching "Adventures in Wonderland" on YouTube. It was a 90s TV from Disney that was set in modern times (such as the Hatter vacuums his house, builds machines, and attempts to make pizza). Even though one might find it corny and cheesy, I've been dancing to the songs as I try to pick up dance moves. I've studied the "Professor Memory" dance in particular. Since Bunnyinthebasement actually is a girl named "Bunny" using a computer in the basement, I can dance around without shaking anything. Until later. | | Sunday, February 25th, 2007 | | 8:15 am |
MIA
So, why haven't I've been updating? I don't know if it's one solitary issue, but part of it is that I don't want to keep updating this journal. I'm working on something, so I haven't done much to Furry_Anthro_Pirates (other than editing the rules and deleting a guy). I'm not giving the journal up, though. I've been taking guitar lessons at Don's Guitar Gallery in Millville. Don used to be Laura's teacher (well, monitor) when she was in the third grade. He's pretty funny, and he's a great singer. Unfortunately, I haven't practiced since Tuesday, so I'm going to try to make it up today. The first episode of Universal Rejects has been finished, which explains how Miz came to Earth and started living with Emma Rivers. Miz actually uses her compound beam gun, which always seemed to be a rare thing in the fanfics-- she seemed to use only the mind stuff to make Dib (and Cyn, though this was only attempted) forget things. It rather reminds me of the line that Cyn says in Cynicallia's "Rescue Mission". It was something like "I got these boot knives, but I've only cut some ropes!" I've been trying to incorporate some ot Miz and Zim's love/hate relationship in the cartoon, but I've been considering combining that with her relationship with Gordon. Originally, when I was first planning this up, the relationships looked like this: Miz and Cedric have a crush on each other. Gordon has a crush on Miz; Lore has a crush on Gordon. Then I had it like this: Cedric has the love/hate relationship with Miz. Gordon has a crush on Miz. Nyc has a crush on Miz. Then I considered keeping it that way, but add an alien character to be "Zim" in Miz's life, but now I've decided against it. Now, I'm considering dropping the romantic interests between Cedric and Miz and merely making them on again friends and enemies (possibly with Miz having an unrequited crush on Cedric) while focusing the romantic interests on Nyc/Miz and Gordon/Miz. Why? Because I thought the viewers would think she was a Sue by having three to five guys interested in her romantically. The Miz/Gordon is probably better than the Cedric/Miz. Cedric/Miz was like the Alan/Sailor Moon thing, but a platonic love between them might be better than having Cedric being Mr. Codependent towards Miz. They could still have the enemy relationship that Miz and Zim had as aliens. Until next time. | | Friday, February 23rd, 2007 | | 8:45 pm |
God Is So Good
It was last month. I was once again bitten by a brown recluse spider. Mark now, I've been bitten twice before, but this one was in a place that I didn't need a mirror to see it. I am Pentecostal, and one of the things Pentecostals believe is Divine Healing. The brown recluse is the second deadliest spider. God healed me of it. The first time I was bit, I had to take medication for it. I was the second one in our family to get bitten (Laura was the first). After that, Pete found out that using an electric zapper neutralized the venom. So, Mom, Pete, and Tepper got bitten, and the zapper was used on them. The second time I was bit, I did not go to the doctor, nor did I had it shocked. I asked people to pray over it for me, and my pastor told me to tell the venom that it had no effect over me in the name of Jesus. The third time was on my inner thigh. When you get bit, it first grows in such a way that you might think it's a pimple, but it hurts like a bruise if you put pressure on it. So, I'm walking around, and my thigh is hurting, so I go to the kitchen bathroom, and there it is. God healed me of it, and the next day it did not grow bigger, but it shrank instead. Also, Mom has been having blood problems. Last month she was walking around with only 1/3 of the blood in her body. Yet, she was still walking, and she was praying, and then her blood count went up to 9.1 (which is very good). My mom was like the woman with an issue of blood that Jesus healed (the one who touched his garment and was instantly healed). She's a lot better now, and I'm glad of it. | | Monday, December 18th, 2006 | | 11:16 am |
Uvacians vs Vacanese
Ever since the Christmas merchandise season started, we've included eggnog into our diet: Wawa eggnog milkshakes, eggnog instead of milk in our tea, homemade eggnog milkshakes, soy eggnog, and this morning, Mom and I put eggnog in our oatmeal. It's actually very good, but Mom says she wouldn't want it everyday. Well, I've been looking at my copy of The Japanese Way, which contains different cultural aspects of Japan alphabetically, such as arts and crafts, bathing, fast food, etc.. I have been trying to answer the slots for as many as I can for Vacan, the country where Miz is from. Cyn could vouch for this: Uvac was highly underdeveloped. Shall I tell you why? ( The Story )Before this happened, though, I started referring to the Uvacians as "Vacanoids" (since Zim called humans "Earthanoids"). I kept the Vacan part; I don't think that's stealing, but more of a reference to the old story. Anywho, I searched for a name, and I had decided to name the planet Vort, and I'd have the people called "Vort" (like the Vulcans are from the planet Vulcan). However, then I watched Zim, and I remembered that Vort was taken. So I sought help from my parents and Tep, and Tep began playing with sounds, and eventually, she came to "Voo-coon", and so I said I'd take it, and I spelled it Vucoone. ( Uvac vs Vacan )Those are the main differences between the two worlds. I want Vacan (and Vucoone) to be as developed as I can make it, and not just so that I can have some nifty things on a website. I need to understand Miz better. If Emma wonders why Miz has a dripping wet T-shirt and shorts after coming out of the shower, I need to know why even if the audience never finds out. I need to get as many details as I can, even though I may be the only one who will ever know it. | | Sunday, December 17th, 2006 | | 9:45 am |
Lasagna
I like leftovers, especially for breakfast. I'm eating the stuffed shells Mom and Pete brought home from my cousin's party. I'm glad my step-family doesn't see me as a step-cousin (and I don't see them as steps either). It's a tradition with the Boyce family to have a family gathering of lasagna. My step-dad is Italian on his mother side, and so he plays the Godfather sometimes at these events. Anywho, my Tallest Cousin, Cynicallia, arrived with her friend Nick, and we exchanged our gifts. We both drew pictures of our fancharacters, Cyn and Miz, but hers was done better. Unlike me, she knows how to color, draw, and use a computer a lot better than I can. Her picture was very cute: Cyn and Miz were decorating the Christmas tree with their pets, and Cyn's Rit tried to eat Miz's Kya (I guess all romantic feelings go down the toilet when you're hungry for yogurt). My sister Laura and Diane hung out more than I did, mostly because I was hanging out with my eight-year-old cousin, Rachel, her four-year-old sister, Skylar (part of the time), and my other cousin, Josh. I also got to associate with Ashley, the half-sister of Rachel and Skylar's brother, Luke. She's a sweet girl. I did, however, get to drink two or three cups of Diane's orange-cider juice, which was good, and I got to play with Furbies, which wasn't as fun as the commercials made them out to be when I was ten. Of course, when I was ten, people were putting Furbies in the microwave to get them to shut up, so more than likely, the Furbie people have fixed the bugs. Stuffed shells are gone now, and I should probably put something long-sleeved on. And socks. I should probably put those on. I should probably do some laundry while I'm at it. Furry_Anthro_Pirates Update So, I've posted the official bio format on Furry_Anthro_Pirates. I've been thinking of talking to Spike about our setting. We are in the Atlantic, but do we want to keep towards the Western end or the Eastern? Of course it all depends on where we're heading with the interactive story part. We might be Pirates of the Mediterranean (ha, ha). It's definitely Earth, though, and magic is banned, so I'm sure we won't fall into the danger of someone trying to steer the rpg in the wrong direction. (Pun intended.) Christmas Is Coming Tomorrow will be my last day at school, then on the 21st or so Laura, my parents, possibly my brother Cliff, and I will be heading out to Shriner, Texas to visit my grandparents (who I haven't seen in six years). They used to live in Huston, but they've been fixing up a new house, and we'll be camping out during the holiday season. It's a little known that my grandfather's step-father was the owner of the Shriner beer brewery. As such, Grandpa grew up among other German descendants, going to polka festivals and singing German drinking songs. Then when he had children, he taught them those songs. A funny story. My mom was five years old, and her kindergarten teacher played songs on the piano for her class. She'd pick a kid, and they'd choose stuff like "Twinkle Little Star" or "Mary Had a Little Lamb". Then came my mother's turn. She asked for "Roll Out the Barrel". The teacher knew it and played it, but my mom was the only one who actually sang it. I've been learning "Kling Glöckchen", or in English "Ring Little Bells", so that I have some German carols. I also want to learn Rudolph all the way through. For more information on "Ring Little Bells" please visit http://www.ulib.iupui.edu/kade/Weihnachtslieder/Kling_Glockchen.htm (For those Veggie Tales fans, Archie sings it on the first Veggie Tales Christmas CD. I like the line when he and Larry sings, "Joy and blessings holy from a Child so lowly." Current Mood: chipper | | Wednesday, December 13th, 2006 | | 6:20 pm |
In Other News
Well, if anyone were reading my journal, they'd think that I had only pirates on the brain. Well, I do like pirates, especially researching them, but I have another interest that I devote my time to. I'm not sure if anyone, besides Cyn and Laura, will ever remember Miz as a fancharacter. Well, recently, I've been preparing her for an original Christian animated series. Mizzy has undergone a lot of changes since she was created (can you believe she is now five years old?). Originally, she was from the planet Uvac, a one-world female-dominated society, but she was half-human, the daughter of the wealthy Norman Chyve. Even though she lived in a mansion, she went to Skool (she was for the IZ series). She's different now, though, and not only with her history and events in the series. Before she was more cynical and malicious, but I've been trying to make her more childish, more innocent. I think I hear Mom calling. Bye. |
